Getting My New Mom Style On

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine.

Not too long ago I was given what I could only assume was meant to be a compliment: I look as if I graduated from What Not to Wear.

The person said that I used to dress not so great, but now I wear great clothes that look good.

I'm not exactly sure what he meant, seeing as how I've been wearing the same clothes for years. As in, I hadn't changed sizes since I was 12 years old, and I tended to hold on to things forever, continuing to wear them. I've decided fashion just finally caught up with my style.

But now I'm about to become a mother. Little Olive is due in 8 weeks, and I don't want to turn into a dorky mom. I want to keep my fashion sense: I am drawn to bright colors, bold patterns, and retro-inspired vibes. I think Olive deserves me looking like a grown-up, but I don't think I need to wear taupe and mom jeans.

I mean, check out this cute, totally mom appropriate outfit:

I love how fun it is, without being too old-looking. Stud earrings mean Olive will (hopefully!) not be yanking them out of my ears. And I love those colorful No nonsense tights and leggings. What a great pop of color! Plus, it's super easy to change up. If I wore just black tights, it would completely change the feel of the outfit.
Add to that that No nonsense tights are affordable and easy to find everywhere – drug stores, food stores, and the mass retailers that I generally shop at. That means I don't have to break the bank to be a stylish mommy.

Their brand ambassador is Jill Martin, a fashion expert and co-author of the bestselling style guide "I Have Nothing to Wear!" A perfect pick for an accessory that can totally change the look and feel of any outfit.
