Well, I’m wrapping up National Baking Week here at Ninth Street Notions. It has been so much fun! I absolutely love baking, and I’m sure all the people who ended up with my goodies liked it too. Because I could not possibly eat everything I baked myself.

Chocolate Cupcakes with Goat Cheese Frosting: My Review
Of course, I’m always on the look-out for new recipes to try. What are some of your favorite things to bake? Here are a few I’ve found around that I can’t wait to bake up:
Cocoa Buttermilk Breakfast Biscuits with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Butter by how Sweet it is. Don’t even tell me you can’t see how absolutely amazing these are. I love chocolate. I would love to eat more chocolate for breakfast. This is the perfect combination. Plus, cinnamon + chocolate = match made in heaven.
Rustic Crusty Bread by Mel’s Kitchen Cafe. Who doesn’t love the scent of fresh-baked bread? I’ll admit, I’m a bread lover but not a big bread eater. I like the idea of it, but I just don’t find that I chow down on bread often. Now, on the other hand, if I make myself a homemade loaf, it’s a whole different story. I will eat it up so quick, slathered in butter. This recipe looks so quick and simple, I will definitely have to try it.
Chocolate Beet Cake with Beet Cream Cheese Frosting by Joy the Baker. So far my husband is not impressed by the sound of this cake. But would you look at that picture? I am very convinced that this is a delicious recipe. Plus, I just adore the bright pink of the frosting. She swears it doesn’t taste like salad. I believe her. Now it’s just proving that to Erik.
Cheese-y Beer Scones from Circle B Kitchen. This recipe sounds especially warm and comforting. I won’t lie to you: I love to cook with alcohol. I think it adds a lot of dimension to a lot of different recipes. Beer is so good in stew or chili. Why wouldn’t it be equally wonderful in scones? Plus, cheese makes everything tasty. Well, maybe not everything but quite a lot of things.
Salted Caramel Lava Cake by vegetarianirvana. Maybe salted caramel is totally trendy. I don’t care. In my opinion, it’s totally tasty. And once again, you can’t have too much chocolate, can you? Can you just imagine that caramel oozing out onto your plate in a chocolatey volcano of deliciousness?
So, share me your favorite baking recipes, so I can add more to my Pinterest board.

Thanks so much for visiting on my SITS day! These photos look amazing and yummy. I just can’t seem to find the time or patience to bake anything. Maybe when the kids are older & out of the house
Some things are so quick and easy, hope you get to try at least one before then!
