Five Fat Quarter Projects: Kids’ Stuff

I love to sew things for kids. The projects are usually small and simple, so they give me an artificially inflated sense of accomplishment. Do I realize making a dress for my year-old niece is not the same amount of work as making a dress for myself? Yes, but in my head I simply tell myself, “Good job! You made a dress!” In those terms, they’re equally amazing.

So, here I’ve collected a few projects to make for kids that use only five fat quarters or less.

Isn’t this dress so cute? I love the fun play of fabrics by using a complete fat quarter bundle.

Too adorable! If I had a daughter, she’d end up with about one million of these cute little skirts.

Maybe you’re like me. You don’t have kids. But you sure do get invited to a lot of baby showers. Isn’t this an adorable little gift set? I think I’ll whip up a few of these just to have on hand for the next shower I’m invited to.

Or maybe you have kids. You’re throwing a party. How about making this neat treat bags for the kids to take home?

And how about some cute little baby shoes? I couldn’t resist.
