For my epic topic I wanted to participate in Listable Life by moments that define life. The list? Five Things I Do Every Day. Riveting, I know.
1. Check my e-mail, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest
I spend probably way too much time doing this. I believe I may have an addiction. I have my personal e-mail AND my blog e-mail to check. Ditto for my Facebook. Then I have to think of witty things to post to all of these. It can be quite exhausting. I usually do this to start and end my day.

2. Eat breakfast
So this one seems pretty basic. Of all my friends, though, I believe I am the only one who eats breakfast. Every. Single. Day. I love breakfast. I quite thoroughly believe it’s the most important meal of the day. I strive to make my breakfast delicious and filling. This means: a protein, a grain, and a fruit. Sometimes it’s bacon, sometimes it’s eggs, sometimes it’s yogurt. Throw in an English muffin and pear, and I’m ecstatic. I just wish I could convince everyone they should do this too.

3. Tell my husband I love him
Recently friends of ours said that they love our relationship. They said it was easy to see that we were best friends. I loved hearing this because my marriage is so important to me. I work every day to keep our marriage beautiful and strong. This means I tell him I love him, I text him silly love notes, and I plan little gifts or cards or dates that show I was thinking of him.
4. Cook
I adore cooking. It is probably my favorite thing to do. I love reading cook books and magazines. I love coming up with my own new ideas. More than that, though, it’s important to me that we limit the amount of processed foods in our diet. It just seems to me to be a healthier way to live, so I cook almost all of our meals at home.

5. Read my Bible
Probably the most important part of my day. It’s as simple as that.
So, tell me, what’s something you do every day?

I love having a routine of things to check off my list everyday! I read my bible, check all my social media things, tidy up the house, exercise, and plan my meals. Once I have all that done, I feel like I can spend time blogging or sewing. Who’s type A…THIS GIRL!
Loved your list. Great priorities. Stopped by from SITS. Have a wonderful day!
I make sure all my little ones get lots of time, hugs, and snuggles before my laptop gets turned on!
tech my boys. That is the one thing I have to do everyday.
I totally agree! Great points!
You and I have the same list. Oh, I homeschool my kids and run my online businesses.

I love your list. I really need to get more organized like that.
The only things that are consistent in my life/daily routine are:
1. daily talk with God
2. daily talk with hubby..telling him how much I appreciate him & love him
3. Social Media: Twitter, FB, blogging, forums
HaHa everything else gets thrown in where they fit in LOL

Stopping by via the 100 comment blog hop!
I love giving and receiving hugs and kisses from my little ones.
I enjoy looking out into our country yard.
I enjoy working, probably too much, but thankfully I am at home.
Breakfast is something I so got out of the habit of doing and I know how important it is. I try to keep healthy things at work to eat when I get there. Greta list!
You’ve met your breakfast partner, and your partner in your other four things you do everyday. Except the cooking thing? I don’t love it, but I do it out of need, along with a desire for good, healthy, inexpensive eating.
Write almost every day, and every morning, I start the day with God.
This is a great every day to-do list! I do most of the things except eat breakfast. I just don’t seem to find the time and by the time I go to, it’s already lunch time!
It sounds like you’ve got my list (really….) except for the Pinterest thing….I’m trying not to go there. I heard it recently described as a soul leeching vortex (but in a good way).
Peace and good to you.
Okay, our five things lists would not be a complete match but there are some similarities.
1. same
2. same
3. Ask my husband how his day was, tell him I love him at night
4. Read a book to my son
5. pray
Kind of similar, yes?
I like your thoughts and pattern of life, right down to the Bible reading. I read mine daily, too, and feel incomplete when I miss a day. I love the little thoughts you have for your hubby. I used to put notes in my husband’s lunch. Although I’ve been married 52 years now, I still send him little notes on the computer. These things are so important to keep your love fresh. Great ideas! Deb
I definitely check my email/Facebook every day. I also make sure to eat breakfast every morning. It makes a big difference if I don’t eat something!
My schedule mostly follows my families schedule. I liked your definition of Pinterest.
Kiss my kids!! I didn’t used to be a big fan of breakfast, but I had to learn to be diligent about it when I had gestational diabetes. Before that, it was so easy to get caught up in the morning getting the kids ready and taking care of their needs. When I had GD I had to learn to put my needs first (when it came to eating) and now it’s become part of my habit;
I do #1 and #5 just like you. I have 4 email accounts and on over 10 social networks plus blog so social media keeps me busy. But I can’t start my day until I have read a chapter from the Bible every morning.
Similar things to you, though I have to be better of loving my husband and reading my Bible.
I need to add reading my Bible to my daily routine. I think my days would go a lot smoother by doing so.
I don’t read the scriptures as much as a should, Thanks for reminding me!
Great list. I do a lot of what you do everyday. With three little ones I also hug my kids everyday. That said with three little boys I need to be more intentional about loving my husband daily.
Our lists are similar…except my breakfast is coffee…lots of it!
Routines are great. I have some by default or necessity, but would really like to improve them to be more efficient and to be really what I want to be doing vs. wasting my time. The 5 things you mentioned are on my list too {except just FB & email for the social media part}. Fun post!
Hey! Those are the same five things that I do everyday too! Not in that order.
I read my Bible when I first get up and I would add, make coffee to my list.
I cuddle with my kids everyday, cook, and I drink coffee
Whoo! I’m tired just reading your list. I do most of theses things everyday, too. Although I must admit I need to be better about reading my Bible everyday.
I mostly follow the same daily routines as you. I have to add care of my daughter feed her, change her, play with her, put her back to sleep, repeat. Everything else sort of fits around her.
I agree on the husband. It is my opinion if you are not best friends with your husband it will make marriage a lot harder.
Every morning I take time with a cup of coffee and a journal.
I have similar list as you do, but I bake homemade oatmeal every day for my family of 7, and newly have been trying to add exercise to that list – even if only for 20 minutes! Good reminder to make a point of saying “I love you” to my Mr. Right! Easy to forget in the everyday rush!
YES! My list would be pretty similar. I think I would just add that I pray every day. And try to take deep breaths. Oh yes!
I always have breakfast! Checking my e-mail and facebook take up way too much time! I get lost in surfing the web. Anyway, I always empty the dishwasher and reload it first thing. Then all day I can just put dirty stuff in there. We homeschool, so I like to get the majority of that done in the morning.
Almost every day, my hubby kisses me before he leaves for work. My day isn’t complete without it and sometimes I grab a few more!
I love your list! Life can get so complicated…it’s crucial to know what is important to you.

My husband is retired…and even now, after 44 years of marriage, I still leave him a little love note before I go to work.

I love #5. It’s the best.
Thanks for sharing. I’m also a fellow Pinterest addict. I love it! I also eat breakfast every day–I’m way too cranky without it lol. I also try to read my daily devotion and blog every day. The rest of my day is spent homeschooling, driving kids around, cooking and cleaning. Rinse and repeat.

Such great things. I need a schedule and a list. I cook, read my bible and spend time with my son and hubby everyday. I homeschool, so I add that to my list of to do lists. Life is full. Visiting from 100 comment event.
Great thoughts! Every Day: I have my Devotions/Bible Study (different times, but every day), drink coffee all day, pray without ceasing…(lots to pray about in my life…) and do something creative…

Great list. Love that breakfast picture. Can’t imagine having that every day, but I do try to have something! Usually yogurt/toast, or egg/toast. I try to get up, have coffee, and read my Bible before I wake the kids up for the day.
Thanks for sharing! Actually, today I posted about the importance of eating breakfast! I love spending time in the Word and eating breakfast every morning. Morning is my favorite time of the day!
I wish I was more consistent to do the protein, grain, & fruit.
I eat breakfast, check my e-mail accounts, drink coffee, pray, and read the bible.
I try and do a lot of the same things you do…plus go to work.
And yes, your hubby is cute!
I love all the tips and I use them all the time.
